When a trial ends

At the end of the 14-day trial, a workspace that has no plan locks until the owner chooses one. Ending the trial deletes nothing, and everything switches back on the moment you subscribe.

What you see

Everyone who signs in sees a full-screen page headed "Your free trial has ended".

  • The owner sees the three plans on that page and can pick one, choose annual or monthly billing, and check out with Stripe.
  • Everyone else is asked to have the workspace owner choose a plan.

What stays open

A locked workspace still lets you:

  • Sign in and sign out.
  • Open the Billing page and subscribe.
  • Open the Privacy & Data tab, if you are an owner or admin, to handle an erasure request or delete the workspace. See Privacy and data.

Every other page shows the trial-ended screen until a plan is chosen.

What stops

Overdesk does no work for a locked workspace. It writes no drafts and runs no syncs, triage, follow-up nudges, reports or analyses. In Slack, a report or a question gets a reply that the trial has ended, and a draft you ask for is not written; /overdesk stats and /overdesk help still answer with your numbers and the command list. Your schedules stay as you set them, waiting. Drafts already placed in your help desk stay there, since they live in your help desk.

Choosing a plan afterwards

  1. The owner signs in and picks a plan on the trial-ended page, or on the Billing page.
  2. Checkout completes with Stripe.
  3. The workspace unlocks, and schedules that came due while it was locked run straight away.

Your settings, knowledge base and connections are exactly as you left them. See Plans and pricing to pick a plan.

When a paid subscription ends

A workspace whose paid subscription ends locks in the same way, straight away, and unlocks when the owner subscribes again. See Managing your subscription.
