Inviting your team
Drafts earn their keep when the people answering your customers can see them, so bring your team in once setup is done. Each teammate gets an email invitation, signs in with an emailed link like you do, and sees what their role allows.
Send an invitation
- Open Team and choose Invite member.
- Enter the teammate's Email and pick a Role.
- Choose Send invite.
Owners and admins can invite. The invitation appears under Pending invitations, showing when it expires, and you can Revoke it there until it is accepted. An invitation stays valid for 7 days.
Pick a role
| Role | What it can do |
|---|---|
| Viewer | Reads drafts, reports and analyses |
| Agent | Everything a viewer can, plus starting drafts and knowledge-base syncs |
| Admin | Everything an agent can, plus changing settings, guardrails and the team |
The workspace's owner is the person who created it. The owner is the only one who can manage billing, and nobody else can change or remove the owner. Roles and permissions has the full list.
Most support agents need Agent. Nobody needs an Overdesk role to benefit from drafts: they arrive in your help desk, where your whole team already works.
What your teammate sees
The email links to a Join your team page. They enter Your name, agree to the terms and choose Accept invitation, which signs them straight in. After that they sign in from the sign-in page with Send login link, the same as everyone.
Seats
Every member of the workspace is a seat, whatever their role. Removing a member frees their seat and ends their sessions. See Seats and Inviting and removing.
