Connect Notion and the internal pages your team keeps there, such as runbooks, policies and internal FAQs, become part of the knowledge base. Drafts can then answer from what your team has written down, not only from past conversations. Overdesk reads only the pages you share with it, and it never edits a page.

Connect Notion

1. In Notion, create an integration at notion.so/my-integrations. Read content is the only capability it needs.
2. On the integration's Configuration tab, copy the Internal Integration Secret. It is not the integration ID.
3. In Overdesk, open Integrations, choose Notion, paste the secret into Internal integration secret and select Connect.
4. Back in Notion, share each page you want Overdesk to read with the integration, from the page menu.

The last step is the one people skip. Until a page is shared, the integration can see nothing at all, and the connection looks healthy while syncing nothing. Only admins can connect Notion.

What Overdesk reads

Overdesk reads every page shared with the integration, once a night, and skips pages that haven't changed since the last sync. Archived and deleted pages are left out. Contact details in a page, such as email addresses, are replaced before it is stored, because internal writing often quotes customers. A page with no title appears as "Untitled Notion page".

Stop Overdesk reading a page

Notion decides the list. Unshare a page from the integration in Notion and it leaves your knowledge base on the next sync. A page you delete or empty leaves the same way.

A Notion workspace counts as a single knowledge source, however many pages you share with it. See Plans and pricing.

Disconnecting

Disconnecting Notion deletes the stored secret and everything Notion put in the knowledge base. If you connect again, your shared pages are indexed from scratch.
